In 1981, Mr. and Mrs. Ramon Chavez and their son, Robert,
started doing business unloading, loading, and moving heavy machinery weighing
up to 30,000 pounds for other companies in the area. When customers were
interested in buying the forklifts that were used to do the work, Ramon and
Robert began selling them. Over time, Robert's brothers and sister (Roy, Ricky,
Ramon Jr., Raul, and Rosemary) joined the company, making it a fully family
owned and operated business. With that, Permian Machinery Movers was born.

Permian
Machinery Movers originally had a small quonset hut building located at 5720 W.
HWY 80 in 1981. Then, in 1994, the company moved into our current location of
2200 W. Interstate 20, where not only we move equipment for others and sell
forklifts (both used and new), but also work on the machines and rent to
whoever has a need. Our El Paso store, led by Robert's brother Roy, opened in
1987, moving to a newer, larger warehouse in 2004. Then, in 2007, our San
Antonio branch, led by Ramon Jr., opened its doors.

In
1997, we acquired the Unicarriers brand of new forklift trucks (which was
originally the TCM brand at the time). In 2009, we gained the Komatsu brand forklift
dealership for our Odessa and El Paso locations. Today, we also deal in
Load Lifter rough terrain tire trucks, Hoist large (36,000 pounds and up) forklifts,
JLG scissorlifts and telehandlers, and Combilift forklifts, and we are still
growing!

With
a humble beginning of 2 people, 3 forklifts, and a truck primarily moving
equipment for other companies, Permian Machinery Movers has grown to 3
locations, over 60 employees, and an inventory of over 500 machines. We serve
not only local companies, but also national chains, and even sell machines
world-wide. Who knows what the future will bring, but we do know Permian
Machinery Movers, Inc., is up to the challenge. To learn more please contact us today!
